It’s time to say goodbye…..

So anyone that follows me on twitter may have seen that I’ve had to make the tough decision to say goodbye, and close down my much loved blog…..

After nearly 1000 blog posts and nearly 5 years, it’s time for me to say farewell. It’s been an absolute blast, and as always I am so so grateful to all the authors that asked me to review their books, to the blog tour organisers who work so hard and let me take part in many of their tours, to the authors that came to chat with me on my Meet the Author series, to the authors and bookish companies that got involved in giveaways, and finally to all the amazing people who actually took the time to read my blog. I will be forever grateful.

It’s with a heavy heart that I make this decision, but now is the time to be realistic. I’m about to head into the final year of my history degree; I’m currently sitting at a 1:1 and I want to be able to put my absolute everything into trying to come to the end with a First Class Degree. I’ve also made the decision to head into teaching at the end, and take my PGCE Primary with the hopes of becoming a Primary School teacher, so the next few years are going to be super focussed and super busy.

I will, when I have time, read for pleasure again but without the added pressure of a deadline or review. I have loved every minute of the journey but I need to give myself the best chance I can for getting the degree I want.

This does mean unfortunately there are some books that I haven’t got around to reviewing. I am so sorry to any authors that this affects and I would like to express my deepest apologies. I have absolutely tried my best to catch up but I have just run out of time, and uni now needs to be my priority.

I have made so many wonderful friends in the book world, both fellow bloggers and authors, and I will be keeping up with you all for future books to read (although my TBR is still massive!).

I’m leaving my blog online so all previous reviews will still be available, but there will be no new content from me. I may come back to it in a few years if things settle down, but for now it really is goodbye.

So thank you again, it’s been an absolute pleasure being part of the wonderful bookish community. I will miss you all and wish everyone the very best for the future.

Take care of yourselves, stay safe and keep reading!
